Shadow

15 Years Old   |   Mare   |   Connemara   |   14.2 Hands

Max Rider Weight - 12st  |  76.2kg  |  168lbs

I began my horse riding journey working with Shadow, learning about horsemanship, ground work and western riding with her.  If it wasn't for this horse I would not be here doing this today.

The elder of the group,  Shadow is the most unbothered horse, even if I take the other horses out riding somewhere she'd just look from a distance before going right back to eating grass.  If ever I'm in the mood to go for a completely care-free ride I take Shadow

River-Charlie

9 Years Old   |   Gelding   |   Irish Sports Horse   |   15.1 Hands

Max Rider Weight - 12st  |  76.2kg  |  168lbs

I got River-Charlie as a five year old, unsaddled, untrained.  He was the first horse I started under saddle my self and we both learned a lot from each other, I've earned my grass stains.  He's become an absolute pleasure to ride, soft to leg and rein pressure, steady and alert.

He's a stunning horse at any time of the year but in his summer coat, with just the right light, he shines like his body is made of polished bronze.

Tiger-Lily

5 Years Old   |   Mare   |   Connemara   |   14.1 Hands

Max Rider Weight - 12st  |  76.2kg  |  168lbs

My little baby girl, I've had Tiger-Lily from just a year old.  In all that time we've been able to develop a strong bond and she's definitely the most affectionate of all my horses, she loves to lick and nibble everything.  She is the brave and the bold one of the group,  when she saw the vast ocean for the first time at 4 years old her only thought was, "I wonder what that tastes like?"

This horse never stops making me proud.

Banksy-Black

1 Year Old   |   Gelding   |   Connemara   |   13 Hands

Max Rider Weight  -  I can't, I'm just a baby!

This little guy came from the Connemara heartland in Co.Galway.  The newest member of our little team, he had a difficult time fitting in and would get chased and bitten, mostly by Tiger-Lily who I think is just very jealous because she's not the baby of the group anymore.  Thankfully though they've all settled in and figured out their places on the totem pole.

At first Banksy was basically feral, completely avoiding people but in only a few days of working with him he's become just as cuddly as Tiger-Lily.
